From the Beginning
When I was young I spent a lot of time flipping through photographs in magazines. Especially all of the adventurous National Geographic magazines, which I still read and go through. Then I would dream that I was the photographer on location at all of those exotic places.
But, it was not until 2002 that I finally got a camera. It was nothing more than a fancy point-and-shoot but it did the job A few years later my wife bought me my first DSLR, the Nikon D3200 with kit lenses 18-55 and 55-300. This was the camera that I learned to shoot in manual mode and take full advantage of the DSLR. After some 30,000 photos on that camera, I upgraded to a full-frame Nikon D810.
My Job
Photography is one of my passions, but another passion of mine is programming. For a living, I am a senior programmer with over a decade of experience. This has allowed me on many occasions to build the tools that I need or want. For example, PixelShop. There are similar services out there but when I tried them I was never fully satisfied with what they provided. I especially was not happy with services that charge a commission on sales of MY work.
So It Begins
So because I am a programmer and a photographer, I am building PixelShop so we as photographers can have beautiful and simple-to-use online galleries with eCommerce capabilities.
Because of my background in programming, you can rest assured that security and performance will always be a priority for our clients and yours.
